Another project I did for Davis Wright Tremaine that took a little more time than the first one. It involved getting together with one of Joe Wallin’s client, CoreConnex. We gathered in their small office and recorded an extensive hour and a half interview with seven of the main team members.
I chose to do stills rather than video in order to make quotes stand out and not have the movement of the video distract from the core message. Stills also aided in being able to set up shots and lighting to get the best shot possible and some candid moments.
The team was very forthcoming and understood the goal of the project, which was to inform the public of the larger subject matter of the obstacles of the small startup. It could have very easily come off as a promotional video or a long commercial. This was not my aim. Instead I wanted almost an academic feel to it.
Both the client (DWT and Joe Wallin) were very pleased with the outcome as well as CoreConnex.
